restaurants

We are extremely lucky to have 5 good restaurants in the village. All are family run and all 5 offer a different atmosphere with a wide selection of food on offer and all serve good quality food and service although there are some that are better than others. I’ll leave the choice up to you. Most have English menus at hand for those of you who don’t speak any Spanish. Please note that all the local restaurants are closed on Mondays. However you can get a meal or snack at one of the local bars “Casals” with prior notice. We also recommend booking a table to prevent disappointment on the days the restaurants are open.

ROSA MARI is a very small restaurant/bar. The food is mainly cooked on a charcoal grill. The menu consists of a good selection of meat and fish alongside their starters & deserts. If you want to eat in a friendly and traditional Spanish atmosphere with good quality food and service then Rosa Mari is for you.

XIRINGUITO has a very good A La Carte menu, alongside traditional Spanish dishes. We can personally recommend the fish paella. The service is very professional and quality of food here is superb and well worth the extra. The restaurant seats approx 80 people and has a friendly, warm atmosphere with a modern touch of class.

PEPO’S is also the only local Hotel. They have a very good choice of food on their menu A La Carte, traditional Spanish dishes and Charcoal grill and the desert tray is an absolute must. The Restaurant in the past have won two years running, a high acclaim award for quality of food and service, but for those who want to be a bit extravagant the experience is well worth the few extra Euros. Consol also speaks fairly good English so help is at hand ordering from the menu.

CA MIGUEL do a very good menu of the day at only 10 euros per person, for a 3 or 4 course meal, inclusive of wine or beer, this menu is generally available at all times. They also serve from their A La Carte menu, which has a nice selection of meat and fish dishes of good quality. The service is very warm and friendly, and Alberto likes to try out his limited English so ordering your meal should be a little easier.

CA TREIG cooks mostly on a charcoal grill. The menu has a good choice of meat and fish dishes. The service and quality of food is of good quality. However the restaurant unfortunately keeps very irregular opening hours so it is always recommended booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
